Photo shoots come in all shapes and sizes. Differing objectives and budgets mean no single approach can work for all. So from our perspective, customising every aspect of a shoot is the only clear pathway to maximising the quality and volume of deliverables within any given budget.

At the more substantial end of photographic shoots are those that require talent, and need to be shot across multiple locations. They require meticulous planning and preparation. This is especially true when creating brands for unbuilt property — where the objective typically involves visualising a 'future' residential lifestyle or workplace experience. A good example was Industry Lanes, a mixed-use commercial precinct located in Richmond. Much of our work for Industry Lanes was executed prior to the precinct being complete, which essentially ruled out shooting within the actual property itself. From Docklands to Elizabeth Street in the CBD, and then back to Richmond, we scouted locations and found ideal spots that matched the look and feel of the actual location.

Selecting appropriate talent was important, as the age and general demographic needed to embody the anticipated Industry Lanes workforce. Various props, including bags, bicycles, and technology devices, helped complete the narrative, with hair and makeup specialists adding depth and authenticity to the visuals. Wardrobe selection required careful consideration to match the shoot's style and mood.

Above all, the Industry Lanes photo shoot was an example of how good planning pays off — the results speak for themselves. The photo shoot yielded a large volume of high-quality, distinctive images that enhanced the Industry Lanes brand immensely.
